A truly special fabric, this Japanese traditionally loomed cotton blend is crafted using time-honoured weaving techniques for a result that is both beautiful and unique. The blend of cotton, linen and ramie creates a lightweight yet wonderfully textured cloth with a natural, breathable quality.

The mottled ecru colour is achieved by combining natural coloured yarn with white, giving a soft, organic tone that works beautifully across all seasons.

There are 3 weaves in this fabric

• Straight — a clean, open plain weave with a subtle square-like texture
• Herringbone — a bold, classic zigzag pattern approximately 0.4–0.5cm wide
• Chevron — a finer, more delicate herringbone at approximately 0.3cm wide, crisp and beautifully detailed

 This lightweight fabric drapes beautifully and is perfect for shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses and summer trousers. A fabric with real heritage and character.

Fabric Care: Hand wash in warm water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry or dry without delay from direct heat.  Warm iron. Dry cleanable. 

Our fabric is sold per 25 cm (¼ metre). If you would like to purchase one metre of fabric please enter 4 units. When purchasing multiple units, the fabric will be cut continuously.
