Cherry Lattice
$29.00/metre
A sweet and classic cotton block print featuring a fine red grid on a soft, natural almost pink background. The delicate crosshatch pattern has a lovely hand-drawn feel, making it perfect for quilts, patchwork, clothing, bags, cushions and all your everyday sewing projects. A versatile little check that works beautifully on its own or mixed with other prints.
Bagru printing comes from a small town near Jaipur in Rajasthan, where the Chhipa community has been dyeing and block printing cotton for generations. The blocks are hand carved from sheesham or teak, hardwoods chosen because they hold a fine line. And the colour comes from the earth, not a lab: indigo for blue, madder root for red, and iron for black.
Whilst every care is taken when photographing our fabrics, colours can vary slightly from the image. Order a swatch if you're unsure.
