Pennyround Emerald
$29.00/metre
A soft cream cotton block sprinkled with large, bright green dots. Fresh, playful and full of personality, this fabric is perfect for clothing, quilting and fun sewing projects.
Bagru printing comes from a small town near Jaipur in Rajasthan, where the Chhipa community has been dyeing and block printing cotton for generations. The blocks are hand carved from sheesham or teak, hardwoods chosen because they hold a fine line. And the colour comes from the earth, not a lab: indigo for blue, madder root for red, and iron for black.
*Whilst every care is taken when photographing our fabrics, colours can vary slightly from the image. Order a swatch if you're unsure.
